The country house
Andreas lives with his family in their countryside house in Onsala, Sweden. In their previous apartment, they had Plejd, so the choice was obvious when building their new home. They were convinced that Plejd was the best and most innovative option for controlling the lighting and other functions.
– When we come home, a single press of a button is enough to turn on the lights, and when we leave the house, all lighting turns off just as easily, says Andreas. He explains that they don’t have to adjust everything manually because the system takes care of itself.
Efficient lighting control
The family uses multiple scenes and astro schedule to control the lighting in the house. For example, they have created a scene for their sauna and pool lighting, allowing them to adjust the lights to their preference with just a click in the app. Their scene "Bedtime" turns off all lights in the house.
In addition to scenes, they use astro schedule for their outdoor lights, which automatically turns them on at sunset and off at sunrise. The schedule also allows them to keep the lights off during certain night hours, saving energy.
Automatic control
Andreas doesn’t just control the lighting with Plejd—he also uses the system to manage the pool heater and pool pump, ensuring they turn on and off at predetermined times. These devices are activated at night when electricity prices are at their lowest, and a timer regulates their operating hours.
Remote control with Plejd
A Plejd Gateway is installed in the house, enabling remote control of all Plejd lighting and other functions. With a Gateway, they can use vacation mode when they are away on holiday, a feature that allows the lighting to mimic the behaviour of someone being at home. This adds an extra sense of security.
