The Backa house
When Helen and Thomas built their home, their goal was to create a space that felt both modern and functional. They chose Plejd for its ability to make lighting easy to control and to create scenes without any technical complexity. The solution was integrated directly into the home and connected to standard wall switches, making it feel intuitive to use, but with far greater possibilities.
Classic meets modern technology
In the house, almost all lighting, both indoor and outdoor, is controlled by Plejd. The installation mainly consists of dimmers and relays, complemented by a Gateway that enables remote control. By combining traditional light switches with smart technology, the family has created a solution that feels natural to use while offering flexibility in everyday life.
Scenes for every occasion
-It’s easy to get the right lighting instantly using scenes, whether it’s morning, evening, or when we’re cleaning, says Helen.
On weekdays, they use a scene with comfortable general lighting, along with another for a cozier setting that creates a calm, relaxed atmosphere. In the morning, a dedicated wake-up mode offers a soft and gentle start to the day. In addition, all the lights in the house can be turned off with a single press of a button, making evening routines simple and convenient. They also turn on the lights before arriving home for a more welcoming feel, and can quickly switch to full brightness throughout the house when needed, for example, when cleaning.
A simpler, more comfortable everyday life
With Plejd, lighting has become a natural part of the home – something that simply works in the background. The lighting adapts to the day's rhythm, sets the right mood in every room, and enhances the overall atmosphere. It doesn’t demand effort, but it’s noticeable in how the home feels every day.
